Rome, June 24 (LaPresse) – During an interview with Fox News, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that 500 US aircraft used bases in Italy “to support” the operation ‘Epic Fury’. “This is a huge number,” he said. “Looking at all of Europe, we are talking about between 4,000 and 5,000 flight missions,” Rutte added. Regarding criticism by Donald Trump of NATO’s conduct in relation to the war in Iran, he said: “I know there is disappointment, but we should also consider that these are isolated cases.”
