Iran: UK – Cargo ship struck whilst passing through the Strait of Hormuz

Dubai (United Arab Emirates), 25 June (LaPresse/AP) – A cargo ship passing through the Strait of Hormuz along a route approved by the United Nations was struck by a projectile, according to the British armed forces. The UK Maritime Trade Operations centre reported the attack, stating that there were no casualties or environmental consequences. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard had threatened vessels that crossed the strait without Tehran’s authorisation.
