Turin, 26 June (LaPresse) – The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, stated during a press conference in Japan that, following the war in Iran, an “extremely rigorous” verification system will be necessary to ensure that the country does not develop nuclear weapons. “I believe the aim of the agreement between the US and Iran is to ensure that there will be no development of nuclear weapons in Iran,” he added. “The Iranian government has stated that this is not its intention, but obviously intentions are not enough.”
