Rome, 2 July (LaPresse) – The relationship between Italy and the US “I would say is excellent. We cooperate on military, political and trade matters between our two countries. I would say that relations are among the best I have ever seen since I have been here.” This was stated by the US Ambassador to Italy, Tilman J. Fertitta, at the traditional reception at Villa Taverna, where this year marks the 250th anniversary of American independence. As for the recent controversy between Donald Trump and Giorgia Meloni, “the fact that the two leaders may have had some disagreements has nothing to do with the strong cooperation that exists between our two countries,” he added.
