Rome, 5 July (LaPresse) – Sasha Troufanov and his partner Sapir Cohen, both former Hamas hostages following the attack on 7 October 2023, have married 17 months after he was released from captivity in Gaza. This was reported by The Times of Israel. Both were abducted from the Nir Oz kibbutz whilst visiting family. Cohen was released two months later, during the November 2023 ceasefire, whilst Troufanov was not released until February 2025, after more than 400 days in captivity. On his return, he had to undergo lengthy medical treatment for untreated leg injuries sustained during the terrorists’ shootings. Trufanov’s mother, Yelena, and his grandmother, Irena Tati, were also abducted and later released, whilst his father, Vitaly, was murdered during the attack.
