NATO: Zelensky arrives in Ankara: “New defence systems a priority”

Milan, 7 July (LaPresse) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived in Ankara, Turkey, for the NATO summit. “Important work awaits us in Ankara. We expect a strong and productive NATO summit,” he wrote in a post on X, to which he attached a video showing his arrival. “We will continue to work to strengthen Ukraine’s air defence. New systems, missiles for these systems and the issue of production licences: all of this is our priority. We are grateful to all those who are helping Ukraine with concrete actions,” wrote Zelensky. He added: “Decisions are now needed to ensure greater protection for our citizens, greater capabilities for our defence and even stronger security cooperation between Ukraine, Europe and the United States.”
