London (United Kingdom), Jul. 7 (LaPresse) – Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has announced that he will resign his seat in Parliament and stand again to clear his name following allegations concerning donations he received. “I have done nothing wrong. I have not broken the law in any way. I have not misused public money,” Farage said in a televised statement, adding that he would contest the by-election to regain his seat. Farage is under investigation by Parliament’s watchdog over a £5 million donation from a Thai billionaire active in the cryptocurrency sector. Opposition MPs are also calling for an investigation into other donations received from George Cottrell, an aristocratic businessman involved in cryptocurrency gambling who was previously convicted of fraud in the United States.
