Madrid (Spain), 8 July (LaPresse) – NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte has defended Spain following criticism from US President Donald Trump, pointing out to the tycoon that the Iberian country has increased its defence spending. “You mentioned Spain; you managed to get Spain to allocate 2 per cent of its GDP” to military spending, “they took a huge step forward last year. There are some issues we need to resolve, but Spain has also reached the 2 per cent target,” said Rutte, as reported by the Spanish media.
