Iran, Dombrovskis: ‘The closure of the Strait of Hormuz has implications, but the EU economy is resilient’

Rome, 9 July (LaPresse) – “We are still seeing a high degree of uncertainty and volatility in the context of the war in Iran. We can see that the ceasefire is not actually holding.” This was stated by the European Commissioner for the Economy, Valdis Dombrovskis, on his arrival at the Eurogroup meeting. “There have been further blockades in the Strait of Hormuz, which obviously has implications,” he added, “but the European economy is showing resilience in the face of this shock affecting oil and gas supplies.”
