Milan, 14 July (LaPresse) – Svetlana Grkovic is the wife of Ljubisa Karovic, the man sucked out of an aeroplane window after it shattered during a Ryanair flight from Thessaloniki to Memmingen, Germany. She told Greek broadcaster ERT that her husband was left “hanging upside down up to his chest” for two minutes. “I reacted immediately by grabbing his legs. I thought: ‘If we die, we’ll die together’,” she later told the Serbian newspaper Nova. Svetlana Grkovic added that her 61-year-old husband is “seriously injured and in shock”. “The important thing for me is that he’s alive… he has a particularly serious injury to one hand and has suffered burns. He is unable to communicate and does not remember everything that happened,” she said.
