Rome, 14 July (LaPresse) – “Yesterday I spoke with the two chief negotiators, the Lebanese and the Israeli, urging them to reach an agreement.” This was stated by the Foreign Minister, Antonio Tajani, on the sidelines of the ‘Moto d’Italia – Cultura oltre la pista’ event at the Farnesina, noting that Italy can truly become a “capital of peace”. Italy will do “everything possible to ensure that Lebanon can finally find peace,” the minister added, “including by strengthening national authority and institutions, starting with President Aoun. We are present through UNIFIL and the bilateral mission to train the Lebanese armed forces. We continue to play a leading role in building a free Lebanon that lives in peace,” he concluded.
