Rome, July 16 (LaPresse) – “This is the seventh or eighth time” Italy has requested the extradition of Alessio Casimirri. “Is it right to have granted Nicaraguan citizenship to a terrorist who has been sentenced six times to life in prison for killing Aldo Moro? It’s only right that he be extradited. The problem lies with them, not with us. We have requested his extradition. Let’s see what they do.” Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani made these remarks on the sidelines of the ICE Centennial celebration at the Chamber of Deputies, after Nicaragua raised the possibility of severing diplomatic relations with Italy over statements regarding the Casimirri case.
