(LaPresse) – Donald Trump attacks Canada, which he believes is “responsible for the failure to maintain its forests and related vegetation” and is “causing an unjustified invasion of the United States by dirty, polluted, and unhealthy air, the quality of which is dangerous and absolutely unacceptable!” In a post on Truth, the president announced that he will call Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney today “to find out what measures they intend to take in this regard. The costs are incalculable! Canada refused to implement basic forest management and debris removal interventions, even knowing that such refusal would lead to exactly this outcome.” For Trump, “this is deliberate negligence that is becoming a recurring phenomenon, costing the United States billions of dollars; these pollution-related costs will necessarily have to be added to the tariffs Canada is currently paying.”
