Frankfurt (Germany), 18 July (LaPresse) – Iran has announced the suspension of its commitments under the memorandum of understanding with the United States, accusing Washington of being the first to breach the agreement with its recent attacks against the Islamic Republic. This was stated by Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi, as quoted by the Iranian news agency Fars. “The United States has breached and suspended all its commitments under the Islamabad memorandum,” said Gharibabadi, adding that Tehran had also decided to halt implementation of the agreement. “We have suspended our obligations and the implementation of the agreement. At this moment, we are focused on defending the country,” the deputy minister concluded.
