This was reported by Channel 12, citing a senior Israeli official. “We are in constant dialogue with the Americans, but one thing is certain: US President Donald Trump is unpredictable. At present, it appears that the United States is seeking to step up American attacks in Iran,” the official told the broadcaster. However, the official noted that Trump’s high-level envoys, foremost among them Steve Witkoff, as well as the Qatari mediator, continue to try to bring the parties back to the negotiating table. In light of this, Israel is “preparing for every eventuality and developing immediate and strategic operational options”, the official added. “If the Americans decide to escalate hostilities or to involve Israel, or if the Iranians were to make an unexpected and reckless move against us, we will be ready.”
