Iran, Pasdaran: “Four ships stopped or turned back in the Strait of Hormuz”

Turin, 19 July (LaPresse) – The Iranian Revolutionary Guards’ Navy has stated that two ships attempting to leave the Strait of Hormuz via what it described as an “unsafe route” were involved in a number of “incidents” and were stopped, whilst two others reportedly refused to continue along that route. Al Jazeera reports this, adding that the Revolutionary Guards did not specify the nature of the incidents. According to the Revolutionary Guards, the vessels had disabled their navigation systems and ignored the warnings they received. The Pasdaran added that ships carrying oil, gas or fertilisers must obtain authorisation and use their designated passage, warning that vessels travelling on different routes risk encountering “incidents”.
