Turin, 19 July (LaPresse) – Over the past 24 hours, Russian attacks have killed 20 people and injured at least another 142 across Ukraine. This was reported by local authorities, as cited by the Kyiv Independent. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia struck Kyiv, Kharkiv and other cities overnight, deploying 125 drones, 25 ballistic missiles, 10 Zircon hypersonic missiles and six other missiles. Most of the projectiles were aimed at the Ukrainian capital. The night-time attack on Kyiv and the surrounding region left at least one person dead and 17 injured. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described the bombardment as one of the “largest ballistic missile attacks on Kyiv” carried out by Russia. A few hours after the attack on Kyiv, a Russian missile struck the Nova Poshta postal terminal on the outskirts of Kharkiv. According to Governor Oleh Syniehubov, the attack killed at least four people and injured at least 19 others. A drone attack on a residential building in the town of Izium injured 17 people, including a one-year-old child, Syniehubov added.
