Milan, 20 July (LaPresse) – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei has confirmed that he has received suggestions and ideas from a number of mediators aimed at reducing tensions. “The diplomatic apparatus is carrying out its duties in parallel with the actions of the armed forces, and the Islamic Republic of Iran will spare no effort to put a stop to the crimes of the United States,” he said, as reported by the IRNA news agency. “The mediators are working and trying to prevent an escalation,” said Baghaei, “the proposals put forward via the mediators have been communicated to us and we have received them, but for now I will not go into details. However, the main point – namely that the diplomatic apparatus has been active in recent days and that certain ideas have been conveyed to the Islamic Republic of Iran via certain mediators – is confirmed.”
