Iran: media report missile attack on US base in Jordan

Rome, 24 July (LaPresse) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced the destruction of US THAAD, Patriot and C-RAM systems during the latest missile attacks launched by the IRGC Aerospace Force in Jordan. This was reported by the Iranian news agency Tasnim. The IRGC, the agency continues, also reported that fuel tanks had been set alight and that a large warehouse containing helicopter equipment and a hangar used for helicopter maintenance and repair at the US base in Jordan had been destroyed. Addressing the Jordanian people, the statement says: “Your brothers in the IRGC, in order to punish the US military – murderers of children – and in response to repeated aggressions against the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran, have destroyed a radar belonging to the US THAAD missile defence system with lightning-fast strikes on US bases (in Jordan). A Patriot system and a C-RAM radar were also targeted and destroyed, and the fuel tanks at the US base were set alight.”
