Turin, 24 July (LaPresse) – China and Russia “are not involved” in the war with Iran. US President Donald Trump wrote this on Truth. “President Xi, during our recent meeting in Beijing, China, told me that he would not, under any circumstances, supply or sell weapons to the Islamic Republic of Iran, and this statement also included Chinese companies. Given our relationship, I take him at his word and, moreover, I am also doing him a great favour,” he explains. “Similarly, President Putin, despite the terrible war currently raging in Ukraine (our relations remain strong, as do those with President Zelensky), told me that he would not sell weapons to Iran. He understands that I do not sell weapons to Ukraine, but to NATO countries. They pay the full price and I have no idea how these weapons are distributed,” he continues. “Therefore, two major countries that are often mentioned in connection with Iran are, in my view, not involved. If they were, it would be very damaging to them; certainly not in their interest,” concludes Trump.
