Milan, 24 July (LaPresse) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has reported a Russian attack on Slovyansk in which 5 people were killed and 9 injured. “There have also been casualties in Slovyansk following air strikes with guided bombs. Five people have lost their lives. My condolences go to their families. A further nine have been injured. The Russians have damaged civilian homes, the consulate building and a number of vehicles,” wrote Zelensky, who also reported a Russian attack on the Kyiv region that left at least six dead and dozens injured. “These were brutal attacks against civilians, and the Russians must be held accountable. Russia has long since abandoned all respect for international norms and human values. Their sole interest is to continue killing. It is important that our partners fully understand that the protection of lives also depends on them. Interceptor missiles for the Patriot systems are the top priority,” Zelensky added.
