Cairo (Egypt), 25 July (LaPresse) – Yemen’s Houthi rebels claim to have launched missiles and drones against Saudi Arabia in response to Riyadh’s attacks on the strategic city of Hodeida, on the Red Sea. Brigadier General Yahya Saree, military spokesman for the Iran-backed rebels, stated in a pre-recorded message that the group had struck facilities belonging to Aramco, the world’s largest oil company, in the cities of Yanbu and Jizan on the Red Sea. The Houthi attacks came in response to Saudi air strikes carried out in the early hours of Saturday on Hodeida and the island of Kamaran, off Yemen’s western coast, both of which are under Houthi control. There has been no comment from Saudi Arabia. The Kingdom’s civil defence authorities stated that an air-raid siren sounded several times in the early hours of Saturday in Yanbu and Jizan.
