Milan, 28 July (LaPresse) – The NGO Movement for Freedom of Information has revealed that the State of Israel paid approximately 2.7 million shekels (around 777,000 euros) in 2025 and the first half of 2026 for expenses relating to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residences. The figures were provided by the Prime Minister’s Office following a legal challenge brought by the Movement before the court. This is reported by Ynet. The figures relate to the property on Gaza Street in Jerusalem, where Mr and Mrs Netanyahu reside, their private residence in Caesarea – which is currently unoccupied – and the official residence on Balfour Street, also in Jerusalem, which is currently undergoing long-term renovation work. The expenses include 28,500 shekels (around 8,200 euros) for the replacement of two bathtubs at the Gaza Street residence, and 95,000 shekels (over 27,000 euros) for garden maintenance in Caesarea. 82 per cent of the expenditure items have been redacted.
