This was stated by the Chief of Staff of the Israeli Defence Forces, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, during a visit to southern Lebanon. “The campaign on all fronts is not yet over and you must be ready to continue. We are prepared for any change in the situation and ready to deal with a wide range of scenarios,” he told the officers, according to a statement from the army. Zamir explained that, in Lebanon, “if necessary, we will push further in and reach other areas”.
