Turin, 1 August (LaPresse) – “US citizens currently in the Middle East should exercise caution and remain highly vigilant, and be prepared for flight cancellations, periodic airspace closures and potential travel disruptions.” This is according to a statement from the US State Department. “US citizens in the region should consider leaving, or be prepared to do so in the event of an escalation. US citizens outside the Middle East should seriously reconsider travelling to or transiting through the region,” the statement explains. “US diplomatic missions, including those outside the Middle East, have been targeted. Iran and groups supporting it may target other US interests abroad or locations associated with the United States and US citizens worldwide, including US businesses and other institutions,” the statement further warns.
