Rome, Aug. 2 (LaPresse) – Five people have been found dead and 41 are missing after an Indonesian ferry carrying 271 people caught fire at sea on Sunday, according to rescue officials. Basarnas, the National Search and Rescue Agency, said the captain reported the fire while the vessel was sailing from Surabaya, Indonesia’s second-largest city, in East Java, to Makassar, in South Sulawesi.
