Milan, 5 Aug. (LaPresse) – Talks between Israel and Lebanon in Rome, mediated by the United States, have come to an abrupt halt several hours ahead of their scheduled conclusion. According to an Israeli source speaking to The Times of Israel, the Israeli ambassador to the United States, Yechiel Leiter, accuses the Lebanese delegation of repeatedly spreading false information to the Lebanese media. As a result, Leiter asked the US mediators to suspend today’s talks before their scheduled conclusion, the source added, noting, however, that the talks are still scheduled to resume tomorrow.
