The main aim is not to give Russia time to adapt to the restrictions. We note that every Russian missile, every drone and most other types of Russian weapons contain critical components sourced from other countries, without which such weapons simply could not exist.” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this on X. “We also discussed Russia’s use of machinery and technologies in which Moscow is generations behind and which it certainly could not have developed on its own. Greater pressure is needed to curb these links between the aggressor state and the rest of the world,” he explained. “I have given instructions for a clear plan to be drawn up for a special sanctions operation designed to significantly restrict the Russian military industry, targeting specific companies in the sectors we have identified. Each participant in the meeting has been assigned specific tasks. I expect them to be carried out in full,” he added.
