According to a statement from the German Armed Forces Joint Command, security surveillance at the Bundeswehr base in Mechernich reported spotting two drones around 10 p.m. on Thursday. The sightings have been confirmed, and military police have been deployed to the scene. The army added that the Euskirchen police department has launched an investigation.
