Rome, 9 Aug. (LaPresse) – ‘Negotiations are under way with Oman on the legal framework and management of the Strait of Hormuz, including the designation of shipping lanes through the strait, and we are very close to reaching an agreement’. This was stated by the Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, to the Iranian media, adding that the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz depends “on other conditions”, including “compensation for the United States’ breaches of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding”.
