Frankfurt (Germany), 10 Aug. (LaPresse) – German investigators have found a trace of DNA on the drone laden with explosives discovered at Leipzig/Halle Airport. This is according to Bild, which reports that the genetic material is consistent with that found following the arson attack on 20 July 2024 at the DHL logistics centre in Leipzig. According to investigators, the drone was allegedly used in an attempt to blow up a Ukrainian Antonov cargo aircraft parked at Leipzig Airport. The DNA trace therefore represents, according to Bild, a possible link between the failed attack on the aircraft and the arson attack in 2024 at the DHL logistics centre.
