(LaPresse) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has stated that US President Donald Trump “begged to start negotiations”. “The US President wrote two words (on social media, ed.) at the start of the war: ‘Unconditional surrender’. That was what they wanted from us, and 20 days later, the very same enemy was begging to be allowed to negotiate,” the minister said during the signing ceremony for the memorandum of understanding on diplomatic cooperation for the reconstruction of infrastructure damaged during the war, according to the Tasnim news agency.
