Rome, 11 Aug. (LaPresse) – The next round of talks between Israel and Lebanon is to be held in Rome in early September. This is according to the Israeli newspaper Ynet. According to a source quoted by The Times of Israel, the latest round of talks, which ended last week, did not go “smoothly”, with Beirut pressing for a further Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon, whilst Israel insists that the process of verifying Hezbollah’s disarmament must be completed first.
