Milan, 12 Aug. (LaPresse) – Russia will respond in kind should Western countries decide to seize Russian merchant ships. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin. “If this decision is put into practice, we will be forced to retaliate in kind,” Putin warned, as reported by the Tass news agency. He went on to emphasise that this would not necessarily take place in the waters where raids on Russian ships are planned, “but rather wherever we deem it necessary and appropriate, anywhere, including within the Pacific Fleet’s area of responsibility”.
