Settlers besiege three Palestinian families in the West Bank

Rome, 13 Aug. (LaPresse) – Israeli settlers have besieged three Palestinian families in their homes in the West Bank, cutting off their water and electricity supplies. The news has been reported by both Arab and Israeli media. Footage from security cameras in the village of Qusra, south of Nablus, shows the settlers surrounding one of the houses, Al Jazeera reports. The trapped residents said that Israeli soldiers had failed to disperse the settlers. Aisha Abu Rida, one of the residents, told the Qatari broadcaster that the siege began on Sunday, with the settlers blocking all access points to her home. “We are surrounded by settlers, but we remain steadfast, God willing. We will not leave our home, whatever happens,” she said.
