Citing a U.S. official, the publication reports that during the two leaders’ most recent meeting in the Oval Office two weeks ago, Trump asked Netanyahu how he was faring in the polls. One of the Israeli prime minister’s advisers responded: “Mr. President, he’s winning,” he said. Netanyahu, however, is not winning, Axios writes, noting that “so far, Trump has not given him the support he hopes for, despite reporters asking him repeatedly”—four times in recent weeks.
