We will vigorously defend our soldiers and our citizens.” Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz wrote this on X, threatening further attacks in the wake of Israel’s raids on southern Lebanon, which left 11 people dead. The Times of Israel points out that Katz’s post appears to refer to both Lebanon and the Gaza Strip. Yesterday, Israel reported that three of its soldiers were wounded in a Hezbollah attack that morning, and also on Saturday, in the south of the Gaza Strip, an IDF tank was hit by a Hamas explosive device, though no soldiers were injured.
