Turin, 17 Aug. (LaPresse) – Lev Shlosberg, vice-chairman of the Russian opposition liberal party Yabloko, has been sentenced to 11 years and one month in prison by a court in the Peskov region. This was reported by The Moscow Times. Shlosberg was convicted of “discrediting” the Russian army and spreading “false news” about it. Prosecutors had sought a sentence of 12 years and one month’s imprisonment. Shlosberg pleaded not guilty.
