Turin, Aug. 18 (LaPresse) – The Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until the United States respects the conditions of the interim agreement with Iran, including the lifting of the naval blockade and sanctions, as well as the unfreezing of Iranian assets. Iranian Parliament Speaker and chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said this. “I want to be clear: until the commitments made by the United States in the memorandum of understanding are implemented, including the lifting of the blockade, the unfreezing of frozen assets, the lifting of sanctions on oil, the end of threats and military operations on all fronts and the other conditions to which America agreed in the memorandum, the strait will not be reopened,” Ghalibaf said, quoted by Al Jazeera.
