Milan, August 18 (LaPresse) – A high school student armed with two handguns shot and killed a classmate before committing suicide at a high school on a university campus in the southern Philippines. Zamboanga Mayor Khymer Adan Olaso said the suspect apparently wore a body camera to livestream the attack, which took place Tuesday at the high school on the Ateneo de Zamboanga University campus. The suspect initially fired at a teacher, but it is unclear whether the teacher was hit. Olaso told DZBB radio that the student then shot a classmate, who died, before committing suicide. Hundreds of students were evacuated to safety. The high school is located on a secure campus, separate from the main campus of the Catholic University in the port city of Zamboanga.
