Turin, 21 August (LaPresse) – “The delusional statements issued by the Israeli Prime Minister’s office against President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, devoid of historical reality and political seriousness, constitute further proof of the impotence of a government seeking to evade prosecution for war crimes and crimes against humanity.” This is stated in a note from the Turkish Presidency in response to the accusations levelled by Benjamin Netanyahu at Ankara and Erdogan. The Israeli Prime Minister accused the Turkish President of being an “anti-Semitic dictator” and of seeking to “extend his aggression to Syria and Israel”. These remarks came after the Ministry of Justice in Ankara issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu as part of the legal proceedings relating to the attack carried out in international waters against activists from the Global Sumud Flotilla.
