(LaPresse) – A source has told the Saudi channel Al-Arabiya that the Chief of the General Staff of the Pakistani Army, Asim Munir, has conveyed a US proposal to Iran to end the naval blockade and lift sanctions as part of a memorandum of understanding. According to reports, the United States has offered to end the blockade and lift sanctions in exchange for the opening of the Strait of Hormuz and an end to attacks by pro-Iranian groups. The Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaei, said that “Tehran will continue its internal consultations and will provide its response shortly”.
