Washington (US), Aug. 25 (LaPresse) – The Supreme Court has granted the Trump administration’s request to overturn a lower court order that had prevented implementation of the president’s executive order aimed at limiting mail-in voting. The decision appears to leave room for further legal challenges that could prevent the new restrictions from being implemented in time for the November midterm elections, with some states set to begin mailing ballots to voters in the coming weeks. Trump’s executive order, signed in March, provides for the administration to create lists of eligible voters and directs the United States Postal Service (USPS) to deliver mail-in ballots only to people included on those lists.
