Floods in Nepal: at least 165 dead and over a thousand missing

Udin Dhunga (Nepal), 27 August (LaPresse) – The number of people missing in Tibet following the flood caused by a glacier collapse that struck the Rasuwa district in Nepal, on the border with Tibet, stands at 558. This was reported by the Chinese news agency Xinhua, whilst the Chinese state broadcaster CCTV specified that 260 of the 558 missing are foreigners. The Nepalese police have also reported that at least 162 people have died, whilst the authorities in Kathmandu have stated that 403 people are missing in the country, including 341 foreigners.
