Torino, Aug. 27 (LaPresse) – Nepalese authorities have released an update on the number of people missing in the massive landslide that struck an area on the border between Nepal and Tibet, including two Italians. The Italian Foreign Ministry said, adding that its Crisis Unit is carrying out checks with local authorities, through the Consulate General of Italy in Calcutta and the Honorary Consulate in Kathmandu, as well as with tour operators for possible confirmation. So far, around 130 Italian nationals reported to be in the area have been contacted. At the direction of Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, personnel from the Embassy in New Delhi have been sent to Kathmandu to strengthen the presence on the ground and assistance to Italian nationals following the massive landslide that struck an area on the border between Nepal and Tibet.
