Turin, 27 Aug. (LaPresse) – Several consecutive explosions were heard in Kyiv at around 3 am. This was reported by journalists from the Kyiv Independent who were at the scene. An air-raid alert was in force across most of Ukraine, with the exception of the western regions. At least six explosions were heard in the capital within the space of about a minute. Two appeared to come from a distance, whilst the others were loud in the centre of Kyiv. Debris was subsequently found in the city districts of Podilskyi and Shevchenkivskyi. Explosions were also reported in the southern city of Odessa and in Zaporizhzhia. At least seven people, including three children, were injured in the attack on Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding districts, Governor Ivan Fedorov said on Telegram. Serhii Lysak, head of the military administration of the city of Odessa, said the night-time attack damaged infrastructure, a school and a high-rise residential building in the city. No casualties were reported.
