Torino, Aug. 27 (LaPresse) – Any foreign contingent present in Ukraine that obstructs a lasting solution will become a legitimate military target for Russia. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said this during a press conference, according to Tass. “As we have repeatedly emphasized, any foreign contingent present in Ukraine that obstructs the conduct of the special military operation and the achievement of a lasting solution is categorically unacceptable and will become a legitimate military target,” she stressed. “Responsibility will fall on the Western politicians who have decided to proceed with further escalation,” she explained. The military exercises announced by the “coalition of the willing” for October-November in European Union countries bordering Ukraine are essentially nothing more than “another step towards even greater involvement of European NATO countries in the conflict,” she added. “A conflict that, in words, they periodically seem to want to resolve and for which they claim a seat at the negotiating table,” she stressed.
