Milan, 28 Aug. (LaPresse) – Seven people accused of vandalising the Turnberry golf course in Scotland, owned by Donald Trump, have been charged with criminal damage “with links to terrorism”. On 8 March, the clubhouse at the five-star Trump Turnberry resort, on Scotland’s west coast, was defaced with graffiti, and the golf course was dug up and covered with the words ‘Gaza is not for sale’. Kieran Robson, 35, Uzma Bashir, 56, Ricky Southall, 34, Autumn Taylor Ward, 22, Rebecca Sian Davies, 29, John Moxley, 58, and Dylan Chiaramello, 24, have all been charged in connection with the incident and are due to appear in court on 31 August. This is according to The Guardian. The indictment alleges that the defendants “intentionally damaged property by deliberately digging up the turf on the golf course, sprayed glyphosate [weedkiller] or a similar substance onto the fairways and greens, daubed a building and a sign with paint, painted political and offensive slogans on the grass, carved a political slogan into the turf, painted political and offensive slogans on a building, walls and pillars, damaged an irrigation system causing flooding, and damaged a street lamp”.
