The police intervened with charges and, according to reports in El Mundo, some officers fired shots into the air. The chairman of the Loma Colmenar neighbourhood association said that around 8 am a clash broke out between migrants after officials at the centre – which is run by the Ministry of Migration – began admitting new migrants.
