Migrants, Madrid: “Jihadist threat? No one from Ceuta enters the Schengen area”

Madrid (Spain), Sept. 1 (LaPresse) – The Spanish government denies that there is a jihadist threat stemming from the crisis in Ceuta, as the people who arrived at the end of July have remained in the enclave. “None of the immigrants who entered Ceuta irregularly on July 30 and 31 has any possibility of entering the Schengen area,” Interior Ministry sources told LaPresse, after Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani described the suspension of the Schengen agreement as necessary and pointed to a “jihadist threat” which, he said, “should not be underestimated”.
